Masdar plans for a $200m wind farm
Abu Dhabi is seeking to
gain independence through clean sources through Masdar. The government in the
UAE seeks to reach 7% of their electricity sources green. Masdar Company is
developing a wind power which is a challenge for them. The farm was chosen to
be near to the Saudi border for strong wind. They assume that wind farm would start
creating power after two years. Solar power is a great source in the GCC area.
This project has gathered interests from around the world.
